As part of its statutory function to facilitate public awareness of matters relating to the provision of immigration advice, the Authority has created the Immigration Advice Consumer Guide, which amongst other things tells consumers what they can expect from a licensed immigration adviser.
The guide has also been translated into simplified Chinese, and the Samoan and Tongan languages.
The guide contains specific information about signing a written agreement, and also contains an Immigration Advice Consumer Checklist, both of which advisers should familiarise themselves with so that they are aware of the expectations that their clients may have of them.
