Immigration Advisers Authority Policy Manual
Purpose
The Immigration Advisers Authority is currently compiling a policy manual that will include our licensing and enforcement policies and procedures, and guidelines on the code of conduct.
The purpose of this manual is to:
- Provide the public with easy access to the Authority’s policies.
- Explain the requirements to obtain a New Zealand immigration advisers licence.
- Provide an overview of how to make a complaint about a licensed adviser.
- Provide an overview of how to make a complaint about a person who may be in breach of the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007.
- Provide guidance for licensed advisers and consumers on the code of conduct.
The manual will be made up of a number of parts. The first part, Licensing, sets out the policies and procedures relating to the licensing of immigration advisers and is now available on the sidebar. The remaining parts will be added to this manual in due course.

Part B: Enforcement Policy
Purpose
- This part sets out the Registrar of Immigration Advisers’ (the Registrar’s) policy on addressing non-compliance with the Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007 (the Act), including the principles which will be used by the Immigration Advisers Authority (the Authority) when making judgments and choices about enforcement.
