Licensed immigration advisers reference group
In March 2009, the Immigration Advisers Authority established a reference group of licensed immigration advisers to help immigration adviser licensing work better.
The reference group will meet approximately three times a year to discuss a broad range of issues and policy matters affecting the immigration advice industry. Members of the reference group may also be consulted on draft policy at other times during the year.
The reference group comprises 10 representatives from the community of licensed immigration advisers, including the chairperson of the New Zealand Association for Migration and Investment (NZAMI). The Authority will review the membership of the reference group annually to ensure that a broad range of immigration adviser views are represented over time. All licensed immigration advisers will be invited each year to express their interest in becoming a member of the reference group.
The dates for the 2010 reference group meetings are 15 April 2010, 26 August 2010 and 18 November 2010.
Following agreement by the reference group, the meeting minutes will be published here:
Please email the Authority with your suggestion for a topic for discussion by the reference group.
