This section only deals with complaints about licensed immigration advisers. This can be either someone who is currently licensed or has been licensed in the last two years.

Any person can make a complaint. You do not have to have received immigration advice directly.

Complaints can be made on a number of grounds including: dishonest or misleading behaviour, negligence, incompetence, incapacity and breaching the Code of Conduct [PDF, 2 pages 103kB]. Incompetence is judged against the Authority’s Competency Standards.
