Display code

Taken from Policy Manual Part D: Professional Practice.

Clause 1.4b of the code of conduct sets out the requirement on an adviser to display the Licensed Immigration Advisers Code of Conduct 2010 in a prominent place at their place of business at all times.

Clause 1.4a of the code of conduct sets out the requirement on an adviser to explain to, and provide clients with a copy of the Licensed Immigration Advisers Code of Conduct 2010 before any written agreement is entered into.

Issues that have been identified in this area of professional practice include advisers:

  • not providing a copy of the code of conduct, and explaining it, to every client
  • not displaying the code of conduct in a prominent place
  • not displaying the code of conduct at all.

These requirements are self-explanatory, and the Authority expects that they will be adhered to by advisers at all times.
