Renew your licence

Your licence must be renewed annually.

Your licence expiry date appears on your licence, wallet card, register listing and monthly newsletter.

We strongly recommend you submit your renewal application one month prior to the expiry of your current licence to avoid your licence expiring.

Should your licence expire:

• you must stop giving immigration advice
• Immigration New Zealand will no longer accept your immigration applications
• you will need to apply for a licence through the longer initial application process.

All licensed immigration advisers must complete the standard renewal process for two years running to be eligible for fast-track renewal. Check our Renewals Policy or our Are you eligible for fast-track flowchart for more information.

Steps to renew

1. Read our Renewal Policy.
2. Complete the relevant forms:
   • To renew your full or limited licence through the standard renewal process, complete Form 301.
   • If you have been invited to renew your full or limited licence through the fast-track process, complete Form 302: Fast-track Renewal Application.
   • To renew your provisional licence, complete Form 301 and Form 301A.
