Notifications and guidance on CPD requirements

Notifications required under competency standard 7 are set out in the CPD Toolkit. Advisers must read the CPD Toolkit in order to understand the requirements. You can also watch a two-hour webinar from 2016 talking through the CPD Toolkit below.

Mandatory activities

In 2018, the Immigration Advisers Authority requires all licensed immigration advisers to attend one of the following webinars run by the Immigration Advisers Authority in 2018.

The IAA’s webinars for 2018 are scheduled as follows:

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing a link to join the webinar.

If you are not able to attend one of these webinars at the scheduled time you will be able watch a video of the recording after it is delivered at a time that is convenient to you. You may count watching the recording as completing the mandatory activity. Advisers will be required to register to view the video recording and that can be audited by the IAA.

Advisers may NOT count watch a recording of an earlier IAA webinar towards this mandatory requirement in 2018. However watching earlier webinars may be counted towards the 20 CPD hours.
