Join our licensed advisers reference group

Each year licensed immigration advisers volunteer to become part of a reference group to help improve immigration adviser licensing.

How often do we meet?

The reference group meets three times a year to discuss a broad range of issues and policy matters affecting the immigration advice profession. Members of the reference group may also be consulted on draft policy at other times during the year.

How many in the group?

The reference group is made up of 10 licensed immigration advisers, a consumer representative and an Immigration New Zealand manager.

Who can join?

The Authority changes the membership of the reference group annually to ensure that a broad range of immigration adviser views are represented over time. All licensed immigration advisers are invited each year to express their interest in becoming a member of the reference group.

How to volunteer

Volunteers will be asked to email us their comments on a variety of topics throughout the year and commit to three meetings from 10am-2pm.

If you would like to be in the next reference group, email your expression of interest, with:

  • background information about yourself and your business
  • why you would like to be part of the reference group
  • what you could offer the group
  • what topics you would like to discuss.
