You can search the register for a licensed adviser based in New Zealand or worldwide. You will find the following information:
- Contact details for Licensed Advisers
- The type of licence – full, limited or provisional
- Any terms and conditions attached to a licence
- If a licence is still active
- If a person’s application has been refused has been cancelled, suspended or surrendered.

People giving immigration advice in New Zealand must be licensed from 4 May 2009, unless they are exempt from the licensing requirements.
Offshore people who give advice about New Zealand immigration matters must be licensed from 4 May 2010, unless they are exempt from the licensing requirements.
People who are exempt from being licensed do not appear on the register.
