Welcome to the
Register of Licensed Immigration Advisers

About the Register

The Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007 requires anyone who gives New Zealand immigration advice to be licensed (unless they are exempt). This applies to people both in New Zealand and offshore.

The law also requires the Immigration Advisers Authority (the statutory body that licenses Advisers) to keep a publicly accessible list of licensed Advisers.

The Register lets people know:

  • how to contact a licensed Adviser
  • whether or not someone is licensed
  • an Adviser's licence type
  • any terms and conditions attached to a licence
  • if an Adviser's licence is still active
  • if someone's licence application has been refused, and
  • those categories of people who are exempt from licensing.
